It does everything it promises. I have arthritis in knee and hip and this chair relieves pressure and thwarts stiffness. The wheel lock issues are easily resolved by placing the two locking wheels at the back. Suggest the directions include such a statement. The chair's only downside is it lacks capability to adjust the height. It appears to be desiged for a desk that has a properly lower-height keyboard holder. When used for keyboarding at that height is fine. However, at home with a standard desk or kitchen table at 29-31 inches high respectively, the chair is uncomfortably too low for good metacarpal and wrist alignment. It would be beneficial to design 4 leg adaptors that could easily be added and removed to adjust the height.

Have had this chair for quite a while and it's one of the best buys i've made. The only problem is I need to order the adjustable support bar.
This chair looks like something you'd find in a Dr. Seuss book and I love it. its easy to re-position since the base has wheels. I love it.

Effective solution to standard office chair

I purchased this system to replace the standard "ergonomic" office chair model I had at work. While wearing flat shoes, this balance ball chair system provides the exact stability I need for my lower back as well as challenges me to be conscious of my posture throughout the day as I type at the computer or operate the phone for an extended period of time. A carpeted office may prove challenging for the wheels; however, I have a plastic floor mat beneath it and that surface allows me to glide back and forth as needed. I especially like the straps and band, as well as the guidelines with stretches. This is a multi-functional system, and I also plan to get one for my desk at home.
Bought this for work as did another co-worker. Today we put in an order for another 22 chairs! Almost everyone in my office is getting one. We've started an anatomical, posture correcting revolution in San Diego! Thanks, Gaiam!
I always wanted one of these things, and I just finally did it! Super easy to put together and semi-comfortable. Not sure if my legs are a bit too short and so my knees are not at 90 degree angle, and sometimes ache. I am going to put some books down there to step on! I like doing exercises with and without the chair. Worth the price!!

This chair was easy to put together and I sat with my spine straight, however I sit for 10+ hours a day and I had to switch chairs after a few hours. It would be great for someone not sitting for long periods of time.

How can you beat sitting at work all day and exercising at the same time? Reduces back stiffness from sitting all day, and it's actually kind of fun. Sure I'd rather get paid for surfing in Hawaii, but life doesn't work like that.....
