I purchased this chair a year or so ago and noticed a difference immediately in my shoulders, neck and lower back. I was always hunching my shoulders and leaning forward in my so called ergonomically correct, very expensive, chair. After a week I noticed my shoulders were down, my neck was not strained, the tenderness in my shoulders disappeared and my lower back pain was almost gone. I love it!

I caution that the chair is too short for proper use at desk! Hence, it is of no use - simply an eyesore due to very cheap plastic construction! Too expensive to return; hence a very regretable purchase! Whilst the theory is great - next time, I will spring for a quality product (unfortunatley, I did not realize how tacky in appearance this chair was; nor, the height vs. standard desk as pictures are misleading)!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This has been a wonderful solution for my post-pregnancy regimen to getting fit!! My core is feeling stronger. I get a great ab, leg, and buttocks workout with this product! I have much weight to lose since I had my baby but I'm confident that this product will contribute greatly to my getting fit program! Being a single and working new mom this helps me get some exercise while I work since my daughter demands a great deal of my time and I'm not able to fit much exercise in once I get home from work. This product has also brought great relief to the hairline fracture in my tailbone! Thanks GAIAM and Dr. Weinzoff!!!

The ball seems slightly larger that my original one, and that gets you up a little higher. Perfect. I purchased the Ball Chair after seeing it in my son's principals office. It looked very interesting so I asked about it. She told me that she "loved" it. I went directly to your website and purchased one for myself. Then I purchased another one for my son because he wouldn't stay off of it. Definitely one of the best purchases ever!

Best solution I've found for neck and back pain!

I have tried a variety of ergonomic desk and chair setups, and this chair is the only thing that works for me. I work from home, and sit at my desk for 6-10 hours a day, up to 6 days a week. I was skeptical about being able to use this chair for more than a few hours at a time, but after about 2 weeks of gradually using it more each day, I was able to put my old chair in storage! I've had this chair for about 9 months, and I'm having to order a new ball because my cat punctured the original one. I don't think this is typical! The ball is very thick and sturdy, my cat is just a rambunctious kitten and managed to get an untrimmed claw through it in a moment of passion! I tried to hold out for a while using a regular office chair or stool - but I need my ball chair back!

When I got this chair, I didn't inflate the ball enough, and I wanted to return it. After my husband inflated it correctly, I am seriously considering buying another for my office at work. It's really comfortable and I can feel my core working. And I'm short, and it still works well.
