I saw this on Dr. Oz's show and ordered it immediately. I work at home in front of my computer all day, and this chair in just a few days has proven how much better it is than my old office chair (which wasn't cheap even though it wasn't top of the line). It's helping my posture, and because it doesn't have arms I'm not tempted to slump to one side or the other, which aggravates my shoulder pain. I have pain from fibromyalgia and I can already see this chair is going to be a huge help to jumpstart my fitness. I can't do heavy exercise or high-impact exercise, so this is just what I needed to help get me back into shape. I ordered it in plum and got an extra ball in sage. Depending on how much you inflate it it's height-adjustable to a certain extent. It's the perfect height for working at my dining room table and at my desk, but I think I inflated it a little too much the second time, when I added air to it. It's almost too high now but I'm going to wait a few days before I try tweaking it again. To get the plug out, I had to use two spoons to pry it out because I didn't want to puncture it and didn't have the strength in my fingers to get the plug out once it was inflated. Inflating it with the pump was easy for me, and I'm not overly strong.
This chair helps my posture. I also have a bad hip and a damaged sciatic nerve. This chair has helped lower pain while I'm at work. The wheels allow me to scoot around from desk to file cabinets. I love it! and it's fun too!
I bought this for my parents as a present, to help them work on their balance and engage their core yet still be safe. I thought after seeing it at their house, "Why don't I have one?" So glad I got it, it's great for long sits at the computer, or just a quick work session. My back isn't sore, my body feels comfortable and I'm loving this chair. Looking into getting some for my students next year!

Have been using for months as everyday office chair. Has really helped with some postural problems I was having due to "arms" on my normal office chair.

I love my balance ball chair! I purchased it for my desk at work. It definitely has helped tone / strengthen my core. It forces me to pay more attention to my posture and helps to keep me sitting up straight. When I have a free minute or two, I tackle some of the exercises that came with the chair. Perfect for a good stretch; refreshes me when I'm feeling a little tired. Was a snap to put together. The quality is very good. I consider it a great investment, I'd highly recommend to anyone.

I've been using my Balance Ball chair with my computer, and find it makes me more mindful of how I sit. One thing I like very much about it is that it lifts me to the proper height to work at my computer with the proper angle between my eyes and the monitor; I never have to tilt my head back and lean forward, as I did with my old "regular" chair. I want to point out two hazards, however. 1. I mean BE MINDFUL! Don't get up to reach for something and then sit down fast as you might be used to. Assuming your chair is rolling on plain floor, with or without a plastic chair pad, it can roll out from under you in a split second and leave you flat on your back, with no warning that would allow you to break your fall. Or maybe you would wrench muscles trying to "catch" yourself before going that far. In either case, not a pleasant outcome! Get up from the chair and sit back down slowly and carefully. You know: mindfully. 2. This is major. Do NOT overinflate the chair, and don't sit on it for hours without a break. They tell you not to overinflate in the materials sent with the chair, but only with the idea in mind that your legs should be at right angles to the floor with feet flat on it as well. I have long legs, so having the chair really well inflated gave me that angle, so I thought I was okay. But this morning, after an arduous two-day stint at my computer with very few breaks, I could barely walk without excruciating pain and am still having trouble 6 hours later. I believe I suffered compression of my sciatic nerve. I remember that last night, when I finally got up to go home, my butt felt numb on the same side that today is giving me so much pain. So, this is a warning you need to heed. The chair is fun, and it does provide the means to sit and work properly, but you have to be aware of these issues and be sensible. I'm not sure if a good, comfortable secretarial-type chair with adjustable seat height wouldn't have been a better choice for me, given how often I pull these long hours. In fact, that's what I'm sitting on right now. Might be good to save the Balance Ball Chair for occasional use, as opposed to making it your main one.
