I purchased this chair about 6 months ago and although it made my back pain go away and and is very comfortable, the metal bar on the bottom that holds the ball in place broke. Another person in my office purchased theirs about 2 weeks after I received mine and theirs broke within a few months. Neither of us are overweight or put more than usual pressure on the chair. I am VERY disappointed that it broke so quickly. I have notified customer service and they say they will replace it with a picture of proof. Once I receive the replacement, I will be satisfied.
I have lower back issues and my chiropractor told me to get one of these balance chairs for work as I'm on the computer a lot. I got it and I love it! The only thing that took some time getting used to was the fact that it's so light, unlike a regular office chair. I don't have anything negative to say about my Classic Balance Ball Chair and when I'm feeling a bit weary from staring at the screen, a little bounce is a big help.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I just got this chair and like it a lot. It definitely encourages good posture. I disagree with the person who said it is not for shorter people. I am 5'!" and it fits me perfectly. In fact, I have some taller friends (5'6" or so) who find it less comfortable than I do. It really depends on your own body proportions, and unfortunately the chair is NOT adjustable at all (except that you can let some of the air out of the ball, I guess). It does sit sort of low, so you may have to lower your keyboard, desktop, etc.
The reason why I gave it 4 stars becasue I really am short and I wish they have offer different sizes for the ball (I could have gotten kid one). I tried to deflate the ball so I can sit but it doesn't feel right - it's best when it's fully inflated. So it's a little too big for me (i'm only 4'11) So if you are a short person, you have to keep that in mind- perhaps you can go for a kid chair which will fit you better than the adult size chair. But it is really good chair. It helps my back.
I've had the chair for a month and I love it. It allows me to actively stretch, have mobility, and strengthen my abdominals while sitting and working on the computer. Not only that but because the chair facilitates mobility even while sitting, I don't get as frozen in place from concentration in the same way, and I get up to move my body much more often. The chair helps significantly to counteract the accumulated damage from sitting for long periods.
The chair is easy to put together and a pump is provided with the package, so the ball takes no time to blow up. I have been very pleased with the chair- very comfortable and I am not as tempted to slouch at my desk. Highly recommend!
