Sitting in comfort as writing

I purchased chair due to hip and back problems. Now hips are less locked and decreased lower back pain from better sitting posture. Much to be thankful for I plan to order two more chairs for work and private office. Would recommend, although it would increase costs, that next generation design include height adjustment.

Sitting Small on this Ball

The good news: this is a comfortable chair. The bad news: it's weirdly small. I've used a balance ball for exercise and love it. So the idea of the chair was really appealing to me. I assumed the ball for this chair would be the same size as a standard exercise ball. But it isn't -- it's just 21" in diameter. (The model pictured with it must be very petite.) Luckily I'm tall and my desk isn't large, so I don't sit too low. But the chair's designer must be a tiny person with tiny furniture. My husband had a good laugh after I finished putting it together. "What kindergarten class was that designed for?" But I like the way it feels and know my back will benefit from it.

I have a back injury that makes sitting for long periods of time produce more pain, so I purchased this fitness chair over the summer as an alternative to a typical office chair. I am SO pleased with this chair. The support and comfort it offers is wonderful. It even comes with some recommended exercises to use with the chair. I have done several of them, and I have found that the exercises from my physical therapist paired with the exercises that came with the chair have made a wonderful contribution to my overall health. It's lightweight, easy to maneuver, and very easy to put together. You'd be hard pressed to find another body healthy seat anywhere else.

Bought couple of weeks ago and after reading reviews I did buy the leg extenders but did not need them, Had my desk been higher perhaps I would have needed them so... measure where you want sit and save yourself a return. Love my chair ball

Too Big

I'm 5'6". The ball is way to big. I had to by a smaller 45cm ball to fit in the chair. The 55cm ball had me sitting way higher than a normal computer workstation. Keyboard tray desk height and monitor were all way to low. Even with the new 45 cm ball that I purchased elsewhere I've had to raise my keyboard and monitor. Also, the price pretty much doubled after exchange rate and shipping charges. I paid shipping but then there was an additional COD charge on top. Not sure this chair has been worth the money I've spent.

Stock Ball with Chair Too Short/Get Bigger Ball

I am 5' 11' man and the Manual that came with it tells you knees should be 90 degrees . And as always your desktop should be level with elbows for typing. The  Ball that came with it caused my hips to be lower than my knees and I had to reach up for the keyboard. I happened to  have a larger sized ball by same Manufacturer. It Fit in the Cradle OK. I then Lowered my Desktop until it put my elbows in the right  position for typing.  Works Great  once I made those adjustments. Now can I actually maintain this day and day out. I think so. Sitting is the new Smoking, So Bad for you and this will hopefully mitigate some of that.

I use this for improving my posture at work--it does the trick, but I've had to replace the metal band that holds the ball securely in the chair twice now--and I've only had it for a couple weeks! The metal band literally broke/snapped--I've never seen anything like it. I'm on to my 3rd band and *hoping* this one holds up.

Overall I really like the chair but I am 5'7" and I believe the chair says up to people 5'11".  If I were any taller my knees would be in my chest when I sat and someone short might feel like they can't work at their desk.  I wish the base sat a little higher.
