People tell me I have great posture!

So I have been sitting on this balance ball chair for about a month now, and I did not experience all the pain that some reviewers have talked about, but everytime a coworker passes by my office, I'm told I have great posture. Since I was trained in classical dance from a young age, I was told that I had excellent posture, so perhaps I don't feel much of a difference sitting on this, but the one thing I do love about this chair (other than it's funky look) is that it makes me move more. My old office chair, as much as it was uncomfortable, could have me seated for hours at a time. This new one enables me to get up and stretch and move around more, which is difficult at a job like mine where I need to be constantly focused on the computer and phone. The most difficult part about assembling this chair was pumping the ball (which wasn't all that difficult, but a bit of a workout at first). And yes, you should pump it about every week or so, and it's takes about 2 minutes to do...which, in my opinion, is not a big deal. Everyone at work has commented on my chair, and 2-3 people actually want one for themselves (my boss included). I highly enjoy this chair and hope to continually reap its benefits. P.S. I love the plum color :)

Bought the chair as part of my overall plan for back strengthening. Will start PT and have taken some Pilates classes, do stretching exercises each morning. It's a funny little chair but I hope that I my back is getting some benefit from it.

This product is not meant for sitting at a desk. Not sure what desk size Gaiam uses - must be for preschool size desks. If it wasn't such a pain to send back I would've sent it back. Do not purchase this if you want it for an adult size desk.

My son says my pea green Balance Ball Chair was stolen from a set of Cone Heads, but my back doesn't care where it came from. I not only use it for exercise--I use it as my seat when I write on my laptop. I switch back and forth from it to a conventional chair, and have noticed an improvement in my health. And it's cute.

My personal trainer recommended an exercise ball chair. I found this through a Google search after reviewing many different chairs. VERY happy with my decision. I love blue and got the blue base with matching ball (trying to upload a photo, but it doesn't look like the website is cooperating...) . I just recently pulled a muscle in my back and also have had posture problems and issues with my legs going numb from spending so many years behind a desk in an conventional office chair. This chair COMPLETELY solved all those issues! Improved my posture, no more back pain, no more numb legs. Also, no issues with falling off it (despite my husband teasing I'm going to ) and you really can't because of the base. I have an L-shaped desk and leave all rollers unlocked so I can easily roll to the side when needed. I was already in good shape but did notice some added core toning benefits. All my office co-workers are jealous and want to try it out. I let them. :-) As far as setup - I put it together easily myself and am not really mechanically inclined. Very easy to assemble and the pump works fine to inflate it. One extra bonus - my office is always a meat locker so I have a heater on me all day long. This heats the ball up, so it's like having a HEATED seat! Seriously a great purchase!
