We ordered this for use in our office. I used it as my desk chair for about a week, by the end of which I had such terrible lower back and sciatic pain I was taking Advil around the clock. I don't know if it's just me, but this had the opposite effect from what I was hoping for. I will say that one of my coworkers tried using the chair for a couple of days and also had resulting discomfort.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The ball is really small and I inflated it as instructed. The quality isn't what I expected it to be. I thought it would help my back while sitting in my office but the back of the chair isn't positioned very well and with the ball being small I am afraid it will make my back worse. I would like to return it but I would have to pay for shipping. So in reality even if I return it, I will be loosing over $30. I'm not really sure what to do. I will never order from this company again.

We decided to replace the home computer desk chair with the balance ball. Now we wonder why we waited so long. This is a must have to improve posture and it doubles as an exercise tool. Great for those with space constraints, like us! Give it a try. You cannot go wrong. It has been great for my lower back. With the caster feet, I often use the chair to practice classical guitar. Not sure if that is recommended but works for me by forcing me to keep proper posture. Keep in mind that it may take some getting used to, depending on your current posture and back/stomach muscle tone. But don't give up. Your body will thank you in the long run.

I love having this chair at work but find that I can only use it for a few hours because my bottom starts to get sweaty. I wish it would have come with a cover for the ball so I can sit on it all day without feeling like I am going to have a sweat stain on my bottom.

This chair is the perfect solution to the long hours I spend sitting at my desk. Not only does it promote better posture, my neck & back are no longer sore and aching at the end of the workday. I also purchased the chair extenders which make it the perfect height. Every office should offer this to their employees!
