Mounted this ultra small (you're not prepared for how small it is if you're coming from the old CB days) inside my CanAm X3 and headed into the woods. The range was great, the speaker was super loud and could be heard through my helmet over the motor noise, and can't say enough about this great product. I plan to do a more permanent installation soon with the 3db Ghost antenna but cannot recommend this enough.

I bought this around a month ago it’s a very good radio. The only problem I had was the microphone was not working right and when I went to pull it out I broke it off. Other than that I’m so pleased with it.

Fits just as it should on ditch light bracket. Very discreet and I think a better look than attachments for hood. The unit is also great quality and worked with 30+ on a trail in the mountains.

Got a pair of these for traveling. Now when we get separated and have no cell phone coverage( yes there a lot of dead spots), we can communicate. CB was the norm before but now these are much better and hey, they came all ready to use.

We've had Midland GXT1000 handheld units for 6 or 7 years. Given recent uncertainty, I wanted to have a backup form of comms. for my family, and so I installed Midland MXT115 in my truck at Christmas. I was so impressed with the range and features, I ordered two more MXT115's and I put on in my office as a base station, and one in my wife's car. I can reach her from my office to hers, which is 9 miles in a straight line. I have no doubt that 15-20 miles is a reasonable range to achieve here in my town. In an emergency preparation scenario, I highly recommend Midland GMRS as affordable, accessible and reliable.
