We have the MXT115 installed in our 4Runner and use it to communicate with friends in other vehicles while on trail runs. The radio is easy to use and provides clear communication between vehicles.

I have been using Midland GXT handhelds for at least a decade, probably longer, and they have been great. CB had become obsolete for my needs so I upgraded to this radio. The install was quick and easy. My only complaint there is the use of reverse-polarity mini-tamiya style connectors on the wiring harness. I swapped those out for standard molex. I drove over 200 miles to my destination with the radio on and picked up more chatter than I have on CB in years. While at the 6000+ acre site we had no issues staying in communication over hills, valleys, and in forest. This is all with the stock antenna. I'm so impressed with it as is, I will actually upgrade the antenna to bring the radio to its full potential. The built in speaker could be a bit louder, but it has a jack for an external one which for an old truck with a lot of wind and engine noise seems necessary.

We have been using these on our farm for a couple years and they work great. Most of the time we talk a mile away or closer. We have had good luck with longer distances also.
