I recently purchase the MXT400 for my rig, and puchased this MXT115 for the wife's rig. It's a great little radio, but I plan to use an upgraded antenna (over the included antenna) for it so that we are really able to reach out to each other. The MXT has features that the 400 does not have.

Got the radio few weeks ago. Like the radio. Recomend it. Works great and I will be getting another 1. I did upgrade antenna because I wanted something bigger but the small antenna that comes with it does work good also. Great set up.

I've had my MTX115 just under a month. I have not yet had time to do any long range tests. Working from my vehichle in the garage, I was able to reach my freind,

I have had this radio(mxt115) for about a year now, I just bought a second. I do not use it a lot but do like to have it available just in case. I like the features and have grown use to this being available when I want or need it. I started with a Walmart mxt 90 and now have 2 mxt 115's and a mxt400 as well. I get great range and plan on playing around with it more in the near future. I have purchased a DPD productions base antenna as well as a Br-450 w/ a tram 1465 I plan to try as a home setup very soon. I did upgrade the mobile Antenna but for GMRS, the external antenna helps so much. I wanted to try the MICROMOBILE® MXTA11 6DB GAIN ANTENNA but have been unable to locate one so far. Thank you Midland for a great product

I like it but I'm not satisfied with it yet and I don't know if its me or the radio. I'm new to this and still figuring it out. I have my MXT115 plugged in through the power outlet but am going to try wiring straight to the battery for better results.
