I finally got time to install this in my Jeep, it took me over 2 hours to install it, only because I'm very picky about how I mount and run wires. Once I was done it worked flawlessly, the only issue I have right now is that there isn't very many people running gmrs radios where I live, I am sure the next time I go wheeling with friends I'll be able to talk to them without issues.

This Radio is fantastic! It is extremely small but performs almost as well as my ham radio. My Jeep club is doing a side by side comparison of ham, CB and GMRS radios to make a decision on what to use on trips. This radio is is the way to go for any off road groups looking for a communication system, it will blow CB away.

Perfect Solution for Limited Space

The MXT115 MicroMobile was the perfect solution for my new SUV. Its tiny size and very simple installation was perfect for the center console, nothing larger will fit! The built-in speaker delivers good sound. The MXT115 is not a top tier radio--I didn't expect it to be, but it adequately suits my needs for a mobile GMRS radio in my new vehicle. The receiver audio is choppy on my unit when using CTCSS, but it is tolerable. Thanks to Midland for making me "mobile" again! (Note: I use an aftermarket 1/4 wave magnet mount antenna for enhanced performance.)
