Problems with audio

Bought this mxt115 in May and now has distorted audio when transmitting.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Please make sure that you have not inadvertently damaged the antenna cable. Your radio is still under the 1-year warranty. You can always call customer service at 816-241-8500 M-F 8am-4:30pm CST and a customer service agent would be happy to assist you.

I love the size. It has decent reception and is mostly easy to use. It is cheap and small and unlike most GMRS mobile radios it does not need to be programed with a computer to work.
My major complaint is that for repeaters, it must do the same TX/RX codes. As a result this radio can only use 1/3rd of repeaters in my area since most have a code to activate the repeater but no code to listen to the repeater.
This radio would get 5 stars if it had two software updates:
1. It needs separate TX/RX repeater codes.
2. It should show the actual codes displayed on the radio screen instead of a number that represents the code.

Got 7 mxt115 in my farm equipment, they work very well, very compact mounts anywhere, durable, only thing in an older, louder piece of equipment you may want to mount it by your ear or with an external speaker.
