Works great with my Cobra handheld GMRS radios. I was able to mount it between the driver's seat and the center console because of It's compact design and along with the
magnetic mount antenna, which I bring in when not using, it's not noticable from outside the truck but convenient and ready to use inside.

This is a great radio for someone who doesn't know a lot about radios and wants to use it for simplex communication. However, a lot of repeaters use an offset and this radio doesn't have that ability, so if you are trying to hit a repeater you will need another radio to listen to other people on the repeater talk back to you. Other than that, I wish it was programmable to listen to other frequencies besides GMRS like some of the newer radios are. It's a great simple option for people who aren't in to radios, but a radio lover will wish it had more features.

I bought several of the MXT115 radios about a month ago. Have been very impressed with the range they give us. I also like the fact that when I wired the radios to the ignition switch they will turn on when I start the truck or tractor. That way the radio is always on while using the equipment and gets shut off when the tractor gets shut off and no run down batteries.

Mounted this ultra small (you're not prepared for how small it is if you're coming from the old CB days) inside my CanAm X3 and headed into the woods. The range was great, the speaker was super loud and could be heard through my helmet over the motor noise, and can't say enough about this great product. I plan to do a more permanent installation soon with the 3db Ghost antenna but cannot recommend this enough.

Got a pair of these for traveling. Now when we get separated and have no cell phone coverage( yes there a lot of dead spots), we can communicate. CB was the norm before but now these are much better and hey, they came all ready to use.
