These radios are amazing. Installed in my Jeep above my rear view mirror and I am stoked about it. It’s small enough to not be in the way but is great for communicating with fellow Jeep’s. I used the ghost antenna so that it didn’t get wiped out by limbs on the trail. I’m thinking of purchasing the 6db antenna to help increase my range. I feel you can’t go wrong with this radio! Will be purchasing another for my sons Jeep.

Bought it a few weeks ago to prep for JJUSA in 2021 and increase my range as a group lead for big off road events and Overlanding.
Have been impressed with the range and clarity.
Programmed my other hand helds I already had to match these frequencies so it wasn’t a case of obsoleting the investment I had already made.
Certainly better than CB for ease of setup, use, space, clarity and range.

We use this radio in a group of sxs and four wheelers use hand heralds. We have had no trouble talking in our group. Had to add the external speaker only because of the noise of the machine. Only wish it was water proof. HINT HINT.......

Enjoying the ease of use and portability between my two Jeeps. The communication range in the U.P. of Michigan surprised me while offroading with a group of others. Several radios were in use on different channels, including portable handheld units. We were able to keep tabs on each other. Thank you for the quality product. I have some GMRS handsets and they aren't that great where I live (mountains/forest). The MXT115 and it's 15w of power gives me much better range, even with the stock antenna. I got the 115 so I could pair with a 6db antenna and a operator 115 ammo can system from portableuniversalpower0com. I also had to call midland tech support and my issue was resolved quickly and professionally.
