The MXT400 is better, but overkill for what I do, which is off road wheeling. We're always within 1 mile of one another. If I'm traveling, its more than powerful enough for highways. Most importantly this thing is SMALL! Especially noticeable when mounted along side my Cobra 29 CB. :)
I bought 3 mxt 115’s and 2 gxt handhelds. I will be buying more soon. The range is great for my farming operation. I like the weather band as well. They are very easy to operate.
I bought It a Couple of Weeks Ago. Had my Licenses for a While. I communicate My Micro Mobile with the My Hand Held Radios. I like the NOAA weather Feature and the EAS Alert on it. Pretty Easy to work with. Works Great with a More Powerful Antenna. Those are My Thoughts
I purchased 6 of these radios for our equipment along with accessories. The range on these radios is incredible. I have been around cb radios all my life and these out perform them hands down. If you are thinking about a Midland radio, I would highly recommend them!
I’ve had the radios for about a week now. They are installed in Jeep Wranglers with the 3db ghost antenna. We live in very hilly central PA, and can communicate approximately 7 miles radio to radio. I have connected with repeaters about 27 miles away! I have ordered a 3db whip antenna from another vendor in hopes of getting better radio to radio communications in the hills and city. Over all we are happy with these. They blow CB radios out of the water, and are perfect for trail communications.
