I sure like the idea of this balance ball chair, but unfortunately it is too short for me to be comfortable at my desk, and no way to adjust the size. I have spoken to others who purchased a similar chair, and they had the same issue, and didn't use it for sitting. Is there a way to adjust it ? I would love to be able to use it !
I spend a lot of time sitting while I put together scrapbooks. This helps to shift my weight and strengthen my core. No more back pain and neck strain. It reminds you to sit up straight.

I bought this chair because I was having leg pain with regular chairs, and I could not easily sit in any lotus position. This chair allows me to sit any way I want, and it makes me so much more aware of my posture. And who doesn't like being able to bounce your way through the day?!

Pre-ordered this new version of the balanceball chair, and I am totally enjoying this chair at work, it helps with my comfort and if I want to just go into boat pose at my desk...it's an option I use several times a day. I enjoy being able to do sit ups or push ups with the ball if I simply remove it from the base... and being a short gal, I don't need that much space, BUT...that's about all I can do. the FIRST DAY, I attempt the use the bands and one handle *snap* broke on me. Gaiam customer service was great...promised to send another set. So I said, fine I'll use just one side of the resistance bands and then...*snap* the other handle broke. Buyer be informed, you may want to include your own, better quality bands if you plan on using the chair for sculpting. GAIAM: considering how much you're asking for this product, please include better quality resistance bands. it will complement the quality of the chair!!! )Namaste(
Everyone needs one... conventional chairs are like torture compared to this wonderful chair.

After using this chair at my desk for a few days, it's very difficult to go back to a normal office chair. The chair helps my posture/strengthens my back muscles and is also comfortable. Regarding what some people wrote about the chair being too short for a standard-size desk: I was also worried about this at first since the height is not adjustable. However, the key is in pumping enough air into the ball. When you first inflate it, it will seem too short, but that is because the rubber is not all the way stretched out, so it can't inflate all the way yet. As you sit on it, and maybe just with time, it will stretch out. So keep on inflating it as much as possible every day until you get the right height. Eventually you'll be able to inflate it enough. I hope this tidbit helps someone out there!

I have chronic sciatica and have a difficult time finding chairs I can sit in without pain. I bought this chair to use as my desk chair and I love it. It took me a few tries to get the ball inflated just right, but once I did it made a big difference in my comfort level. I am a graduate student and often sit at my desk for hours at a time and this is the only chair I've been able to sit in that long with minimal or absent pain. I haven't used the chair or the ball for exercise yet, so I can't really comment on that.
