I bought this chair to go with the big new desk I got for myself since the chair that was supposed to go with the desk was over $300. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to assemble but I did give my arms quite a workout pumping up the ball with the included hand pump. I am 5'2 and sitting on this thing puts me on the perfect level to work and reach all over my desk. A great purchase I would recommend it to anyone!

I liked this chair so much I bought two more for my girls to use at their desks.
I love the Gaiam Balance Ball Chair. I quit smoking almost eight months ago and wanted the chair for the additional opportunities for exercise between clients. I have already noticed my core is tighter and I have less back pain. After having this chair for a week, I attended a training in which the chairs were not as comfortable and I was experiencing some back pain. One day back in my office on the balance chair and the back pain was gone. I am so glad I ordered this chair!
We bought 4 for our office and so far everyone loves our chairs. We are hoping to be in better shape by the New Year.

I have been using ball chair for just over 2 weeks all day at work. My only little problem is I am steady at 5' and my present desk is 29 1/2" tall so really wish I could be up a little higher for all day work.

I purchased this chair because I have terrible back problems and have to sit for long periods of time. I knew it would be short but not this short! Plus I am having trouble keeping the ball inflated and actually substituted a bigger ball for more height. It does help with posture and is comfortable. After working out a few kinks, I think it was worth the purchase!

I traded in my "home office chair" for the Balance Ball chair - best thing I did for myself. It is so comfortable - keeps my posture in line & ergonomically much better for me. I work at home & sit in front of a computer for most of the day and I would recommend it for ANY office environment.

Office chairs are a real misery for me. Because I'm small, I either have to sit far forward, have my knees bisected by the front of the chair seat, or sit on my legs (undignified to say the least)! I got the Balance Ball chair thinking it would serve as a good core toner. I don't feel much in my core from using this (I'm pretty toned already) but my legs and back feel so much better. My feet are flat on the floor, there's no pressure against the back of my knees, and my back is straight (the chair comes with a back, but it isn't really meant for sitting against). I think this will be good not just for immediate comfort but to help guard against future health problems. I was concerned that the chair would look out of place in my office but due to the clever design, no one has even noticed it until I pointed it out. My office is a blank, featureless stress palace with few personal mementos (a throwback to my consultant days). This is one of the first things I've ever bothered purchasing for the office and I'm so glad I did!
