I was initally very enthused about this chair. I could tell that it was helping with my core as soon as I got it, and hey, it was amusing to bounce on it once in awhile. However, I bought it to use in my office and it is not an attractive office chair by any means. Two months after I bought it, the lock broke on one of the castors and I haven't gotten a response from customer service about replacing it. Today the lock broke on a 2nd castor. I wrote customer service again and hope to hear something from them this time. When the locks broke, the wheels were stuck in the lock position, so you can't exactly freely roll any more and the wheels make a hideous noise. Very disappointed =(
This didn't help my back at all. I still have the same awful pain as when i sat in my office chair. only now I'm out $70 that I didn't have :(

I absolutely love the Balance Ball Chair. I use it at work as I sit for long periods of time during the work day. I would find at the end of the day that my buttocks was sore and my posture was very poor using a typical office chair. I have found my posture to be so much better as well as much improvement for my buttocks. I would highly recommend this ball chair for anyone who has to sit for long periods of time and want to improve their posture and comfort.

I've tried using my existing exercise ball as a chair but having this smaller ball with the rollable base is so much better. It does take some getting used to but love it. The only complaint I have is that I am constantly flipping the brakes on the front wheels and don't realize it when I can't roll as easily.

I got this chair from one of my co-workers who left. This chair works nicely. The frame holds the ball well so that I can work at the proper height. Balancing is not the huge workout that I expected. It's a very subtle and mindful effect that keeps our core and leg balancing muscles engaged during the more sedentary part of the job. I am seriously happy with this chair.
I was apprehensive about purchasing and using the balance ball chair. With my height at 5'1", I was concerned that it would not sit high enough. After pumping the ball, it was a bit high! After a couple of days, it deflated to the perfect height on its own. When I use a traditional office chair in our conference room, I am surprised how different it feels. The balance ball has definitely led to better posture.

After years of back problems, this chair helps so much. Hours of sitting is now possible and after standing it helps too.

It does everything it promises. I have arthritis in knee and hip and this chair relieves pressure and thwarts stiffness. The wheel lock issues are easily resolved by placing the two locking wheels at the back. Suggest the directions include such a statement. The chair's only downside is it lacks capability to adjust the height. It appears to be desiged for a desk that has a properly lower-height keyboard holder. When used for keyboarding at that height is fine. However, at home with a standard desk or kitchen table at 29-31 inches high respectively, the chair is uncomfortably too low for good metacarpal and wrist alignment. It would be beneficial to design 4 leg adaptors that could easily be added and removed to adjust the height.
