I ordered the Classic Balance Ball Chair after sitting temporarily on just a yoga ball. I am fairly height-challenged, only 5'0" tall, and even the largest ball, 72 cm, wasn't big enough for me to be sitting tall enough at my desk. I love the feel of sitting on the ball, and when sitting at a desk 8 hrs a day, comfort is key. I was skeptical that a smaller ball, this one is only 52 cm, would do the trick, but it has! Now, no one entering my office realizes I'm sitting on anything other than a "real" chair until they come around to the other side. My feet touch the floor, my back is straight, I can breathe! The chair, as simple in concept as it is, truly is wonderful, and yes, I would, and have, recommended it to coworkers and friends!
Using the classic balance ball has relieved my hip and thigh pain. The only way it could be improved is if they made two different adult sizes. As I short adult I am between the child and adult size.
I love my new chair! it makes me sit up straighter and since I have short legs, I can adjust how big the ball is to have my feet on the floor. I love that the wheels lock and unlock. Thanks!
I am glad to have discovered this chair and I ordered the color of Ocean, which is a nice muted shade of blue. I use this in the office where I often have long periods of sitting and when I do stand, I find my rear isn't sore-ha ha.
Ease of putting chair to together - ease of inflation of ball ease of use while sitting so nice I purchased one for my daughter.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought my chair four years ago and have changed jobs three times since then. Each time I bring it into my new office, my co-workers can't help but stop in and ask about it. I've had the opportunity to help people better understand their core and give them new ideas about how to maintain it. Mainly, though, I can attest to the strenghening power of this chair. Used correctly, you really will feel (and see!) a difference in your abs and that helps to strengthen your back.
Pros: strenghening and fun
Cons: sometimes hard to know when or how much to inflate
A physical therapist friend mentioned that he likes sitting on an exercise ball instead of a "normal" chair because the ball keeps the back active and aligned. I took that suggestion and learned about the Balance Ball Chair so I decided to try it. I am a writer and I have chronic neuromuscular pain which originates in the spine so I am careful how and how long I sit. I've had this chair for a week and, so far, I've enjoyed sitting to write much more than in any other chair, including the expensive, ergonomic versions. I've also noticed relief in a pressure point under my right shoulder blade which makes it easier for me to engage in hand-writing in addition to computer typing. When I get up from the chair, my body does not feel the usual stiffness as from sitting on other chairs (I am in my mid 50's.) The assembly of the chair was laughably easy and fun. The hardest part was to inflate the ball and that wasn't a problem at all. The casters all seem adequate for my weight (about 175 lbs.) The locking pins on the back casters are easy to manage and even with the casters locked, one can still roll the chair around to get in and out of it but while sitting the chair stays put. There is only one thing that I'm not sure of: the air inside the ball has been escaping slowly in the past week. I re-inflated it today and it feels nice and full again which is the state in which most pressure from my back is relieved. Perhaps I did not push the white pin all the way in the first time around; I'm not sure. Just something to keep an eye on.
