I work from home and the chair I was using calls me upper back pain after a long day of sitting and working. I decided to try the balance ball chair and after the first day of using it all day, I could tell a big difference in my back... No pain at all at the end of the day! I would recommend this for anyone who sits for long periods of time.

this chair has improved alertness around the office. i feel noticeably lethargic when i switch a regular chair. unfortunately the temp in the room is reflected in the temp of the ball so just a word or warning to those in a skirt!!

Purchased this chair a short while ago and very glad I did. Initially I thought it was a little strange looking and because of that wondered why anyone would buy it? However, I have been treating two Herniated discs/Sciatica in my lower back for over a year and concluded maybe I should give it a try if it might help to make me mend. My therapist thought it might help but to initially use it for short periods and built up to longer stints because it does work your core muscles and too much too soon is like too much exercise and in my condition not necessarily good for you either. Have been using it as a computer chair at home (work all day on computer in an office on a more expensive memory foam computer chair) and I am very impressed with it. It's fun to sit on and a whole lot less expensive than most good office chairs that I have looked at. Bottom line I really like this chair - it makes you stretch and move while sitting and don't feel so stiff when getting up from it after sitting for a while. Thank you Gaiam.

I really like the balance ball and the idea of this chair - however you must have the right height desk for this to be optimum. Other than that - I really think this is a good option.
