I have only been using the chair for a few days so the jury is still out. I bought it for comfort reasons, posture reasons and even the possibility of strengthening core reasons if this is really something that I could get out of it. At the very least, I have a new ball to work out with!

When I first read about it, I was very excited. When I got it and used it for a few weeks, I was less excited. I ended up switching back to my old desk chair. I personally need the back of the chair to be closer to the middle of the ball so that I can sit up straight without having to hold myself up, when I get tired of 'holding myself up.' The concept of the chair is great. This is for someone that knows that they will never get tired of sitting erect all the time. But for those who want to sit back sometimes, this is not the chair for you.

I purchased this chair a couple of weeks ago, thinking that it would help me learn how to be more active. (I am not a person who fidgets - when this body is at rest, it stays at rest!) Delivery was remarkably fast; it was easy to assemble, and though the included pump is small, it's effective. The chair is the right height for me and my desk (which is good, because it is not very adjustable). And it's working as promised - while I'm sitting, I can feel myself making small, microadjustments to stay stable and centered. This is why it's important to build up to spending a lot of time on this chair - after only a couple of hours a day, I could really feel the muscles in my lower back. They're sore, now, but I can tell they are getting stronger! (And I'm not even doing the exercises yet - I'm just sitting on it!) Remember to keep the pump handy - the ball needs to be topped up to keep the height at the right level.

If you were on the fence about purchasing, JUST DO IT!! This chair is great, I use it here at work where I sit for 8 hours a day. I love it because not only does it force me to sit up correctly but I can do mini workouts throughout the day. The one that I have now I have had for 5 years now and I will be getting my 2nd one for my craft station at home. This chair is very strong and durable. I have enjoyed it for the 5 years that I have had it and plan to enjoy both of my chairs for years to come.
