I have been using this for about a week. I am now sitting with my feet flat on the ground and with a straight back. The ball is firm, and I feel the need to stand every hour or so. This is healthy too. Others in my office want to try my balance ball chair. (Oh, and the pump worked really well!)

Hurts my butt!

I can only sit on the ball for 30-45-minutes before my butt is burning so badly and is so numb (numb, although I still feel the burn) that I have to switch back to my old chair for instant relief. Otherwise, I'm happy with the way the chair looks and the way that it helps position my pelvis and back. I'm just hoping that maybe I will get used to it and the numbness/butt pain will go away. I do think it is too expensive - surely these can be cheaper than $100.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I recently had a fall on my tailbone and it was very painful just to sit down. Having to keep working, I purchased a ball chair and found it not only was pain free to sit, but was a fun and healthy way of rethinking how I sit in front of my desk. I love the ball chair and highly recommend it to anyone who sits at a desk for their daily work routine.

I have had this chair before and the rolling legs broke on one side so I decided, after several years, to purchase another. What I am finding this time is that the chair is very short. Have had to readjust computer monitor and keyboard. Not quite so happy this time.

Easy to assemble. Adjust the amount of air to your comfort zone. I am recommending to all my friends. I work from home, no more sore shoulders and lower back. However, the first week I had some sore muscles in my lower back, but that is gone now. I wouldn't go back to a regular office chair again.

Help your Back Pain

I have had very painful sciatica pain for a long time. I have difficulty sitting at my computer at work or home for long periods. I decided to try the Balance Ball Chair. While it looks much smaller in person than in the photo, you need to make sure you inflate the ball high enough for you to sit properly. Also put the wheels with the brakes in the back or you might hit your ankles against them. Having said this, my back has been so much better than it has been for a long time, and I am able to sit at the computer at home much longer with more comfort, so I can get a lot of work done. I just have to figure out how to get my boss to buy one now! My Physical Therapist pointed out how I am also working my core muscles at the same time which will help my back in the long run. I highly recommend it!

I like my balance ball chair. I was concerned it would not be the right hight on my desk but it turns out i can blow it up a little more and gain an inch or release some air to sit a little lower. I have found my perfect fit. I also like how easy it rolls for me to reach my bookshelf. Its a much more embodied sitting experience and I have my small expressions, like bouncing or wiggling back and forth to stay in relationship with my desk experience.
