They sent out a survey request with a 15% off next purchase teaser. , which I filled out and sent back. They sent the discount code which didn't work. I contacted them and they stated "Sorry, we are having difficulties with our code system". Months later, after emailing several times (and no discount code), they are now ignoring me. I'll let you decide if you want to trust this company.

The filter began to put off a chemical taste after a day of use. And I know usually you're supposed to pre rinse filters, but it said on the packaging of the filter that pre rinsing the filter wasn't necessary, so I didn't. And then I got this taste. It tasted the way burnt rubber smells, that's the best way I can describe it. Not good. Not good at all. And this filter was expensive. Now it's going in the dumpster. Very disappointed with this company.
Also, I looked into this online to see if I'm not alone, and I'm not. I saw hundreds of other people saying the exact same thing.

Thank you for contacting ZeroWater. An order has been placed for a replacement filter as this is not the norm for our filters. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your business.

I am very happy with my purchase. The water tastes great and the meter has shown me the difference in tap water, bought purified water and Zero water. It was a good investment in my opinion.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The water didn't stay "filtered" after three days. When I moved the filter to a small zerowater pitcher, it filtered the water well (still at zero particles).

I really appreciate my Zero Water filter. Friends stopped by and were more than curious about it and I gave them a taste and showed them the difference between Zero water and city water. You also take really good care of your customers and I appreciate that

Used the ZeroWater Filter and after a few my kids and I could smell a terrible fishy odor. Makes the water taste funny as well. Do not recommend.

Thank you for contacting ZeroWater. After Zero Water filters have been exhausted and have not been changed, the water produced from the filter may have a distinct smell or taste and the TDS reading may be higher than your tap water. This is a result of the water passing over the “spent” Ion Exchange Resin beads. We have gone to great lengths in reducing that taste/smell in product development however this is simply a characteristic of filtering water with a Dual-Ion Exchange system.
In order to avoid a change in the taste of the water it is important to test the water regularly and change the filter when the digital meter reads 006.

I had great hopes for this water system, one thing I discovered is that if you let the filter top be uncovered with water it will sour immediately. I have tried 5 filters so far and most were finding out about the filter being uncovered the hard way.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

ZeroWater's Ion-exchange resin filters are a reliable and efficient way to get delicious, filtered water. They work by exchanging ions in the water with regenerated ions from the resin beds, which can remove a variety of contaminants from water, including lead, nitrates, sulfates, calcium, magnesium, and other heavy metals. The exchanged ions bind with the contaminants, making them much easier to filter out. Our combination of cation and anion exchange resins can reduce 99.6% of dissolved contaminants in your water. However, when the filter is exhausted no more contaminants can be filtered out and an unpleasant smell and taste may be present. This is a common cause of overuse and can also occur by pouring hot water into the filter or freezing it. Be aware, though, that while the smell is unpleasant, it does not indicate any harm or danger. It is only time to replace your filter. Change your filter once the TDS meter reads 006.
