My favorite out of the 3 I've tried

I have been using Zero pitchers for many years. The round 8 and 10 cup pitchers are the best. They aren't too heavy. Both openings (pour spout and filling openings) have covers with hinges. I took the hinges for granted until my 8 cup pitcher cracked after years and tried the 6-7 cup pitcher which I absolutely hated with every fiber of my being, but I digress. The only problem I have with this product is the filters make the water acidic. After a while (a month-ish, not really sure) the water has a bad taste even though there are still no dissolved solids in the water. I would love to know what that taste is. Anyway, Bravo for the great design. The pitchers with the open pour spout should be destroyed and never made again. The water tastes like everything in the fridge. The bigger rectangular pitcher is nice but not good for wire shelving in a fridge (needs glass shelf), and is awkward and heavy.

Nice concept, poor engineering

This pitcher pours horribly. There isn't proper ventilation to allow enough air pressure to provide for a smooth pour so it just burbles out in a glug, glug, glug splash. Also, the description that "you can dispense delicious water while the reservoir is still filtering" is not true. Water from the reservoir gushes out if there is too much water in it, and even when not full it still leaks into the stream being poured. If you overfill the reservoir water goes everywhere!

I wouldn’t buy the round one

We’ve had this round one for about six months. It’s hard to fill, cannot move it when you first fill it and it’s also hard to pour - the spout starts pouring slowly and then all of a sudden comes fast and it spills. Also, the water tester, sitting on top gets wet and now that does not work at all. I think the battery got wet. I’d get a different model as the idea is good.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I do not like this pitcher.

I have used a number of zero water pitchers and this is my least favorite. For some reason, I constantly have trouble with the water staying in the top and not draining through. If I pull the top with the filter out of the water in the pitcher, it drains, but if I put it back together, the water stays in the top and doesn't drain through. Not very handy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for contacting ZeroWater. From time to time, a filter may develop an air bubble or air pocket. Carefully lift the reservoir, grip the body of the filter at its mid-section and give the filter 4-5 squeezes while there is water filtering through. This will return the flow back to its normal state.

Leaks and Hard to clean

If you fill the pitcher up it'll spill out the top the moment you place it in the fridge. Also, you can see inside the handle, but you can't open it; due to the moisture its gross looks grimey and you can't clean it.

Was worried about a few reviews that referenced leaks. I've purchased two of these and have had no leaks nor any other complaints. Note, though, do not run one through a dishwasher. :)

I love this pitcher but the TDS tester stopped working after a week. It is not the battery. The tester always reads 3 or fades in and out. It is useless. That is why I gave the pitcher 4 stars instead of 5. Otherwise, I love this pitcher. Clean tasting water!
