Major production quality control issues

We are currently waiting for our 4th machine as the first three had defective pressure gauges. Best buy has been fine but we have been working with Breville on the subsequent returns and it has been terrible. We are technically waiting for our 5th machine as Breville sent the wrong machine at one point as well. All the effort we have gone through picking up machines, unpacking, discovering they are defective and then repacking and shipping has been extremely frustrating. I must be a glutton for punishment for continuously trying to get a functioning machine although I am losing energy. Although we have used breville machines in the past I can't recommend it anymore. A disaster of a company right now.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Had this unit for well over a year now and absolutely love it. We matched it with a Breville grinder and together they have been a work horse team pouring espresso, cappuccinos and americanos every day and much better then any home unit we've owned before and on par or better then some professional drinks we've purchased a barista bars etc. Sure, for hundreds/thousands of dollars more, you may get better machine but, for the money and features that you will get with this unit, the Infuser wins... hands down

Not Made in Canada

I bought this machine more expensive because it was written it was from Canada in the description and I want support Canadian made products. Big surprise! When it arrives, I checked and it says it's made in China. Descriptions should be more honest because if I knew I would buy an espresso made in China, I would have chosen a cheaper one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I used to have a Cafe Roma and enjoyed the espresso it produced. I had it almost years but it was beaten up after several house moves and developed a crack in the water tank causing it to leak. Rather than buy a replacement tank I elected to treat myself to an upgrade. What a fantastic decision.
There is a world of difference between the Infuser and the Cafe Roma. Well worth the extra money. I didn't need a grinder as I already have a standalone Breville one, so it was really a choice between this and the Bambino. As it was on special offer, it wasn't such a hard decision. There are many aspects that I like about the new machine over the old one but the best part is, my coffee making skills have improved as a result. It gives you more control and you can fine tune what comes out. It is also very easy to use. There are a number of plastic bits but that's because the money has been wisely spent on the parts that count. I could go on and on but I will just say, if you are hesitating because you think it is expensive. Don't. It is worth every cent.
