light switch is touch control - but too slow; first touch makes it brightest, second touch needs a pause before it will activate and dims it. Then the third touch to turn it off - again needs pause in between. Vent - external part is great. Do not understand why some of it is recirculated back inside. Wish there was no need for that. Because of that dirt stays on top of the lid due too grease. Overall works well.

Fans loud on medium especially. High is loud but it is powerful and I do have this hooked up as recirculating. Looks are pleasing.

Just What We Needed

Bought this about 6 weeks ago. It has everything we wanted and needed...it's super quiet and the 2 lights are in the front which light up our cooktop very nicely.

We bought this for our kitchen remodel, I want GE because we had success with them in the past with appliances. I installed this and was disappointed with the quality of the product internally, lots of plastic, looks cheap. My old vent had a round damper on it, this one came with a cheap looking rectangular one, I went with an 7” round damper that is a better quality than the one offered by GE. For a unit that was supposed to be top of the line I think they dropped the ball on it. From the outside it does have a nice appearance and the lights work well with a firm push on the on off
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
