There's Gotta Be Something Better!

Dell produces wonderful computers and accessories...you'd think that there'd be a product out there to protect such computers that were of equal quality.
What's great about it: It is easy to hook up--no programming necessary on my computer; it is very lightweight and portable; it really does cool my laptop very nicely
What's not so great: For something that is supposed to protect my laptop--a hefty investment in itself--it certainly is not worth the money I've put into this item: the on/off switch broke after only a month's use; I spent $10.00 for a replacement cable. A month after that the right hand fan stopped working and the rubber stoppers are all missing...not very durable a product for my money!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I would NOT recommend this particular cooler.
What's great about it: fan does cool the lap from the heat of the laptop WHEN and IF it's working.
What's not so great: cheap construction, connection plug didn't last long, very noisy fans. only works if you get the cord in a perfect position because of the low quality of construction.
very expensive for the lack of quality that it has.
I am 47 years old and the only user of this item, so it is NOT due to abuse from careless children.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

thin cords break

What's great about it: It kept my laptop cool and the rubber feet kept it from slipping
What's not so great: It stopped working after a month and a half because the wires inside the very thin power cord broke
It is not big enough for my 17" laptop

pretty good (for a 15" notebook)

Don't get this if you have a 17" notebook and expect to fit it comfortably on your lap/knees. It just aint happening.
This ITEM needs to be about $10 to $15 cheaper in my opinion. But over all it does keep the laptop cool.

What's great about it: Keeps my 17" laptop (INSPIRON e1705) pretty cool. nice usb, on/off on cord feature.
What's not so great: I wish it was bigger so it would fit all around the bottom of my notebook. 2 inches on ALL sides stick out.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not worth the money, It worked really good for my for about a month, then it broke.
What's great about it: Fit inside my laptop bag
Fit nicely under my laptop

What's not so great: Broke alittle after the warranty expired.

What's not so great: flimsy, on/off switch broke after one month, one of the feet came off after 2 months, entire unit broke after 3 months. not worth the money.

Concept is wonderful

I love it!! I don't use the on/off switch opting to disconnect from the usb port. I purchased the chill pad 3 months ago and have had no problems at all so far.
What's great about it: Keeps my notebook cool for hours. Fits my 13 in notebook great and fits on my lap, too. It's lightweight which is a big plus.
What's not so great: Pricing seems steep, but will see what kind of use I get in the long run. Being so lightweight I worry about breakage but so far so good.
I would recommend this to a friend!

the port that accepts the plug needs to be more robust
What's great about it: i got a flash drive with it, when it on it cools very well
What's not so great: i also didnt like the fact the plug in part would not work unless i taped it in a certian possition.
