Great first smart phone

This is the first Smart phone I have owned so I have a very limited experience with other phones of this type. I have used"family members and friends" other phones over the years and find the S3 to be far superior to all I have tried. I would like the build quality to be a little better, it seems to feel a little cheap-plasticy. I like the features of the phone but am not sure I like touchwiz all that much. I would prefer a vanilla version Jelly bean OS better. overall great phone that I enjoy using.
Have to push on the screen way too hard to get it to respond. Phone Crashes Alot, I think it is WiFi related, I have to pull battery sometimes to unfreeze. I like it more the more I have it.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, good size
Cons: Did not meet expectations
I would recommend this to a friend!

My daughter loves this phone ...

... and I now wish I had one. I made the mistake of upgrading my S2 to the ICS O/S & a phone that I used to love & paid a LOT of money 4 is now a piece of junk. Unfortunately, Samsung isn't standing behind the fact that they released a junk version of ICS. I am applying a firmware upgrade right now. If the issues aren't fixed, I'll be talking to Samsung about taking the S2 back in trade for the S3 & I WON'T be paying a lot of money for this either!!!
This phone is super fast, both with WiFi and over Cell Data network. Also the processor is super fast! The worst thing is the price, but overall it is well worth paying for!
Great phone. Not as configurable out of the box as my previous phone, but with dual processors, and much bigger screen, performance is leaps and bounds above last phone.
The screen is large and easy to read. The instructions that pop up on the sreen have really helped as I was learning how to use my new phone. I am amazed with the navigation app that even shows a photo of the street scene or building when I arrive. The camera takes wonderful photos that can be edited or enhanced before sending to friends or my computer. I like having a special ring for my huband's calls and I didn't even have to figure out this option since my phone suggested doing this. The weather alerts are fantastic since we are in the hurricane season and live right on the coast. While I am still learning how to use many of the options and features of this product, the process has been interesting and smooth so far with no stress.
great phone, excellent features, long battery life
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, long battery life
I would recommend this to a friend!

Decent entry in the high-end handset market

Samsung has made another outstanding device with the Galaxy S3. The 4.8 inch screen provides a lot of real estate. However, this size may also make it somewhat cumbersome to those used to smaller devices or with smaller hands. The phone is snappy, the screen is bright, and it is loaded to the gills with features. On the flip side, some of these features just seem a little too gimmicky, and will likely never be used by the average consumer.
The storage size is good, plus the ability to add a micro-SD card is better. Battery life is surprisingly good considering the power of the device, even without the power saving features enabled. The Touchwiz overlay on the Android 4.0.4 operating system is nifty and fun, but not anything to base a purchase on.
All in all, this is a good option for those looking for a high-end Android device.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight, large screen, good specs
