Works well, Nice Design

This is our 3rd Bosch cooktop because of moving. We chose it because of the name, consistent nice design (love 5 burner with center burner area), price point (although it's risen considerably) and reliablity.
The last (2012ish) had uneven grates, glad to see that issue has been resolved. Using simmer burner cover this time, like it.
Cooktop is on 2 cm granite with provided weather stripping-type tape underneath, but when grates are off, pressing to clean it gives uneven, tinny sound when steel hits granite in one area. We could probably add more weather stripping to resolve.
Keep up the good work, Bosch. Thanks for the classic cooktop design.

Great Cooktop

You will love the knobs & gas control valves on this unit. Fast & precise.
The stainless stays quite clean & cleans easy. The burners put out Heat! Only con is the cook grid is larger than my old top and a little more difficult to remove, but it is solid, and all brands are made with these one piece grids now. This model does not have "on-light", wish it did, but am not complaining for the great price.

Noxious smell while using

We excitedly purchased this cooktop (after loving it in our previous residence). But this is not manufactured with the previous quality (or we have a lemon); After 5 minutes of use, the entire kitchen smells of propane/combustion, and I get an intense headache. A Bosch tech came out and didn't have a resolution for the smell; Yet the Bosch tech appliance manager mentioned on the phone that there have been a lot of complaints recently about much more of a smell coming from the Bosch gas cooktops. In our case the smell is bad enough that my 3 year old won't even enter the kitchen. Note: The previous GE cooktop at this residence did NOT smell while using. And in our previous residence this Bosch cooktop had zero smell (even when lighting and without a fan running!) Unless Bosch makes this right, with a new cooktop and covers the installation fee, we vehemently do not recommend Bosch cooktops due to health and safety concerns from the noxious/head-ache inducing fumes during use.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Stove top

We recently bought one of your dishwashers and we're so pleased that we were determined that we were going to buy Bosch products in the future. The stove top is exactly the size we need we like the large burner on the right it's easy to clean and we really like the fact that the flame cannot go out.
