We purchased the Broan BCDJ136SS to replace a very old kitchen exhaust fan. The installation was very straight forward and easy. Broan's EZ1 installation brackets make this job much easier and faster. The stainless steel and small buttons have a very sleek and clean look in our kitchen. The fan has 3 speeds, the lowest fan speed is so quiet it is hard to tell if it is actually running. The two higher fan speeds are slightly louder but not annoyingly so. The lights have three levels and do a great job of lighting our stove top area. One of the features that I really like is the fan delay shut off. When I am leaving the kitchen after cooking, I can hit the delay button and the fan will shut off in about 10 minutes, I find this to be a really nice feature. I would recommend this fan to anyone looking for a new exhaust fan.

Originally purchased this for a internal exhaust. Installed and to my disappointment external hardly worked. I called Broan and what service. Right away my excellent tech person Chuck helped me out. This being a newer model chuck had the engineer team check out my problem and explained to me my exhaust would drop to about 100 cfm being I could not exhaust outside. We decided to make my unit a external exhaust and with help from Chucks team they got me the ductwork I needed and wow what a difference. This unit works great and looks great. A little of a hassle putting in the ductwork myself but after using what they gave me made this a successful install. Thank you so much for your help.

Product looks good in our kitchen and the lighting is excellent. There seems to be some problems with the venting of air. Make sure you have it installed correctly.
