Nice unit, required troubleshooting

I bought this unit and installed it myself. It is hard wired and I have an outlet, but I cut the plug off the over-oven microwave I was removing and used that. However, it didn't work! Troubleshooting sent me here, and a comment about the LED wires not being installed led me to open that part of the unit and BEHOLD - it had left the factory with wires unconnected. Before calling a pro check those pesky wires, and I needed a mirror to spot the plug since it is not very accessible. Broan needs better quality control...
I would recommend this to a friend!
