This hood is a replacement for the one that came with our new house a little over a year ago. The GE model that came with the house crapped out in just over a year, how convenient since the warranty was one year. Enter Broan. The installation was easy when using the brackets for the EZ1 installation. The instructions can be a little vague as far as connecting the vent with the vertical exhaust option. I ended up pushing the adapter into the vent to slide the unit in place and then pulled the adapter down to the unit and screwed it in and taped it up. The unit is quiet and powerful. Dual fans in the unit work great and I like the LED lights as compared to the halogen lights which are a nightmare to change. (I broke the housing on the GE model trying to change bulbs) All in all i am glad i chose this one but the proof will be in a year from now.

Great Fan, 3 speeds, can barely hear the first speed, second a little louder, third you can hear it but it does the job! In a perfect world with perfect cabinets maybe 1 person install as long as they are young and Strong, LOL! We are older and cabinets not perfect but we got it in. We love it! Nice bright LED's really lights up the stove and counter. Three levels of brightness. There was an issue with a piece of metal that had to be removed. Had a self locking nut or something that wouldn't come out. This was a vented install. We are very happy with it, looks great too.

Awesome under-cabinet exhaust fan. LED lighting is great. The best part of the hood is the dual exhaust fans. They are very quiet yet powerful. Clearing the kitchen of smoke/fumes is a breeze. Great product.
