Poorly designed lights

It is Extremely hard to change out and replace bulbs

Works well over my stove and looks nice. The only problem s when you try to use the low light setting it tends to flicker so I can only use the higher light setting.

I bought this to replace a Whirlpool that was only three years old. I had my kitchen cabinets refaced and the Whirlpool was 1/16" wider than the standard width for range hoods and the facing would not fit in the spaces between the hood and the cabinets. The Broan fits perfectly.
Since I did the replacement myself, I saw firsthand the difference in the quality between the Whirlpool and the Broan. The Broan is build like a tank and the dimension are precise.
I do wish Broan had made this model available with LED lights or at least made it retrofitable. I knew it had halogen lights when I bought it, so I can't complain.
A very good product.
I would recommend this to a friend!

WORST.INSTALLATION.INSTRUCTIONS.EVER

I just bought this for my new house, which didn't have a range hood already in place. This is the ONLY BK model that does not have a template included and sure as heck doesn't have brackets with it either (One person installation? Ha!). Thank goodness for YouTube videos.
So power will happen tomorrow but the installation was so frustrating that I had to share. I would not recommend based on the frustrating instructions and lack of template.

We have had this vent for a while now, and have had zero problems with the two speed fan, works exactly as it should. However, the halogen lights have been an issue for some time. The lights have gotten so hot that they have melted the insulation where they enter the ceramic sockets causing a short to the metal holder for the socket. This in turn caused the ground fault to trip. Since there are multiple items on the circuit, it has taken some time to indentify the issue. We are currently having the sockets replaced and are attempting to switch over to LEDs to control the heat. I can't imagine why Broan is still using halogen lights, I can see online that I am not the only person concerned about the heat. Yes, they are bright, but so are LEDs.
