Nice hood

This hood is pretty awesome in every way, except the fans are quite loud, even on the low setting. Otherwise, it looks great, cleans easily by wiping down as well as removing the panels underneath. The lights are very nice in providing good light and two settings. The fan doesn't seem to suck much of any food odors out (our exhaust fan goes straight outside), however.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Dents easily. Works well but the metal it is made of is not substantial.

I like it but it could be made out of more sturdy material. It is very nice but builder had to replace with another because first one had a dent in it.

Filters are trash

So the hood itself is.... fine. It does its job. It's basic. It's hard to get wowed by a hood, you know? But the filters? Those are trash. They don't stay put and fall down if you look at them sideways. They drip grease like crazy, no matter if they were just cleaned or not. And finding replacements (or even just alternatives) is challenging. So based on the filters alone, I'd avoid this product unless GE can solve the filter issue.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We just built a new home and this is the hood that our builder installed. We are very pleased with the look and features. We hear a bit of a "whirring" when the fan is on the low setting, but we're pretty certain it's becuase it is brand new.
