Bought this hood since it was the only one available that matched the rest of my slate colored appliances. It's very loud, loud, loud. Wish GE had more choices in the slate color. I would have gladly payed more for a quieter fan!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The hood looks very nice and completes the look of my gas cook top. The chimney piece however feels very flimsy and when you apply stainless cleaner you have to be very ginger with that piece. Also the fan has an annoying under sound that is almost like a ringing but only on the low setting.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great product, looks great in our kitchen and is very quiet when it runs! Takes out all kitchen odors and has a great design that would match most kitchens!
