Works well and looks great

This hood was provided by the builder of my new home. I could have opted for a cabinet-type hood or one that was attached to the bottom of an upper cabinet, but wanted the clean lines of this hood. It works great. Very quiet and good lighting.

The hood vent works very well. I am glad we had it vented to the outside as it now insures the smoke detectors do not activate in error.

Sleek and easy

We had an old fan vent that was nothing more than a hole in the wall. This vent compliments our kitchen very well. It's easy to use and the filters work great with teenagers and a husband cooking non-stop. It's easy to clean and simple to operate.

We had a different name brand fan that worked quite well. We are updating our appliances and chose GE. It surpasses all of our expectations. We really like the power up feature.

We love the look but it would be nicer with a one piece duct cover. We had to use an extension which is fine but the seam is noticeable. Would be great if you provided a single long piece for the cover that you trim the upper end down to size and cover with a small trim piece. Noise is moderate; not the quietest and not the loudest either. Installation was easy. Measurements for the duct cover extension need to take into account the distance from the top of the range to the ceiling. Not from the floor. Also would be nice if button were backlit. Can be tough to read in certain lighting conditions.
