Satisfied with the product. It is very good looking and is not too loud in low and medium speeds. A few comments about design and installation. The filters are flimsy and very cheap. The light assembly is just hanging there which seems weird - when you need to replace the light you have to pull the wires through the hole. Strange. The unit itself could have been a little deeper to cover more of the stove. The installation instructions could have been better and a template should have been included so that I could easily mark the holes on my wall. In addition the vertical duct cover should have been at least an inch bigger from front to back to allow a little more leeway in running the 6" duct though the attic. I replaced another brand and had to re-patch my ceiling and move the duct back toward the wall.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We purchased this vent before we read the above review. according to GE installation instructions it will fit a 9 ft ceiling. The hood is 30 inches above cook top. everything installed and there is a 10 inch space with no cover . We now have to purchase a 12 inch extension cover which means we have to relocate the hood.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Wrong Product Description

We purchased this product but it did not fit with our 9 foot ceilings (despite the product description). We now require a ceiling duct cover kit/extension kit in stainless steel which is apparently sold out and/or discontinued.
This product comes with a 24 inch duct cover kit, which was already scratched when we removed it from the box. Now, we are now left with an approximately 10 inch gap with no trim at all.
Our beautiful, brand new kitchen now looks ridiculous.

Great product, but slopy installation hardware

Product looks great. The drywall anchors don't work the screws pull out. The screw holes for the duct covers do not line-up and I needed to drill new ones. Supplied duct covers don't reach a 9' ceiling so additional hardware is needed. For the price of the unit the assembly is sloppy.

Installation very difficult

"Laser-proof" covering nearly impossible to remove. Shouldn't be that difficult...designed for ease of production...disregard for consumer. Hopefully, it will function better than the installation process.

Stopped working within 2 years of installation
