Atrocious software

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After being forced a software patch the phone has never worked the same. It included apps that I don't want and can't delete entirely. It forces a news feed from Washington post and my times. Both one must pay for after a few articles. I will never consider purchasing an LG again after this experience.

Hello, it sounds like you may have Google Feed Enabled. Please go to Settings > Google > Settings > Google Feed. Also, you can hide applications or disable them if allowed. ^AC

Great Sound

It seems whenever u read cellphone reviews the only thing people care about is the camera. However, there are people like me that are more interested in sound quality. Thats the area LG phones excel.

Great phone with a few drawbacks

I have had the LG G6 for well over a year now and I have to say I love most aspects of this device however I have come to find a few bigger drawbacks of not only the device but the support via updates. As most people know this phone got the snapdragon 821 chip instead of the 835 which was out at the time of release and that is one smaller disappointment I had with the device. The performance is still really great but this chipset will show its age sooner than the 835 will not to mention a few updates to Bluetooth and such that came with the 835.
Now a larger issue I have with the phone is the camera. It has a dual lens setup like most higher end phones of late (Including the G5, its predecessor) but for some reason the G6 lost the laser assisted auto focus which I noticed right away after transitioning for the G5. The camera will struggle to get the correct focus the first try and you have to do a little shimmy to get the camera to refocus on what it should have picked up. I never had a problem with this on the G5. The quality of the camera is also a little lower than I would like to see on a phone of this range. After using the G5 for a year prior I felt like that phone had a higher quality camera both in the fact it had laser focus and quality of photos.
Lastly, I have experienced LG's VERY slow software update process. The G6 finally received Oreo after a year of it being released to a first device and only a short while before Pie was released as well. LG in my honest opinion needs to step up their game when it comes to supporting updates to its devices and the speed at which they get them. To my eyes a minimum of two major updates should be supported by manufacturers pending hardware can run that software well.
Overall I really have enjoyed this phone especially for the price you can get them on the used market. I would love to test out a G7 or V35 with the snapdragon 845 processor next but I want to be confident in the software updates will come in a timely manner.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Since I bought the phone I had immediate issues. The first was, everyone always complained that they could not hear me well during the call. This was the first week having it. Now its been a year and my phone now says moisture detected even though it has never been wet. I have not been able to charge it for 6 months with the regular charger, I depend solely on wireless charging but that takes all day to charge. This appears to be a typical problem with this phone. A lot of people are having the same issue. It appear to be a manufacturer problem. Though I loved the phone for many reasons this issue is the worse, makes your phone undependable and worthless.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
