[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the G6 for over 6 months now and its by far the best phone I have every used. The screen clarity and richness of 4k and HDR colour are fantastic.
Pros- Wireless charging, water resistance and dust resistance, expandable memory, excellent Camera with many filters. Beautiful titanium glass encasement- looks like a piece of artwork!
Cons- a little heavy

Not as good as the LG G4 -customizing and features
on September 27, 2017

After our G4's died with the dreaded LG boot issue we were hesitant about buy another LG phone. After making sure the new LG's did not have the same issue we went with them primarily because of price and familiarity. My G6 is ok but not great. My biggest peeve is the stock camera app - when you hold the phone landscape to take a picture - if you press the + or - keys it takes pictures. These keys are in the natural position of your thumb when holding the phone. When trying to take pictures in rough conditions I find I am taking tons of burst mode pictures (up to 100) because I am holding the phone too tight with my thumb on the - key. No way to disable this. Also, far fewer photo/size selections. Far fewer camera options overall. I ended up loading a 3rd party camera app. Also, there are far fewer options to customize the screens. The drop down screen is way too busy. I like the G4 horizontal scroll better for the drop down options. The G4 icons were also much better. The G6 is a decent phone but I liked the G4 better.
Pros: Performance

The BEST LG phone yet!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first thing that caught my eye was the new look and feel, slightly smaller than the V20, but with more screen real estate and a sleek aluminum body design. The next thing that I noticed was the CRYSTAL clear display, looking so crisp and clean that it is uncanny when watching hi-definition videos. On top of that, the fact that it supports higher frame rates makes the videos or games that support it, looking like you are watching live action. I also noticed the incredible responsiveness of the apps and features being quick and seamless, showing off LG's refinement of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor being next to none. The V30's cameras also did not disappoint, with the rear facing cameras showing a noticeable improvement in the quality of photos and videos. Even with the forward facing camera not being much in improvement of the resolution, it still manages to take amazing selfies, as well as record pretty good quality videos. Plus, with the addition of CineVideo, and all the new toys in the built in camera app, with the V30's ability to record at 40k resolutions this phone is now the go-to for aspiring videographers, cinematographers, and even film producers or directors. The features have been improved as well, with the addition of Calling Plus+ making it to where you can seamlessly transition from WiFi to carrier calls without the call dropping. I also have noticed a slight improvement of my carrier signal quality, where before if I had 2 bars, I now have 3 to sometimes 4 bars. One of the best features of the V30 is it's built-in Hi-Fi Quad DAC, making it to where listening to music if you are using wired headphones is like listening live at a concert. There's more that I could say about this phone, but this review would go on to be multiple pages! All in all, this phone is definitely LG's top of the line flagship in the industry, and should make all others jealous with its top of the line hardware and software upgrades.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this phone about a month ago to replace my LG G5. I was pleasantly surprised to see the vast improvement in looks, feel, and response vs. the LG G5.
The camera, facial recognition, speed, and customization features are what I like the most about this phone. I'm sure I will discover more improvements as I get more experience with this phone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The g6 is fun to use. It is simple to use and user-friendly. I had the g3, g5 and now g6, this phone is a step up for the g series. I just hope the g7 will keep the IR BLASTER and the LED NOTIFICATION. one thing I miss about the g5 is the SMART NOTIFICATION PRE-INSTALLED APP, its useful for most g series users and it separates from competitors stock app. Overall, I WILL ALWAYS BE THE G SERIES DIE HARD FAN! Keep it LG!!!

I've had this phone for almost 2 years. For the majority of the time, my only complaints were that the cameras distort things in a weird way, especially the front facing camera, which makes the phone not ideal for selfies. With that exception, it worked perfectly for about 15 months (just until the warranty ended... what a surprise!)
I still was not too worried about it after 15 months were up since I had the 2nd year promise, but then it started breaking. There were two times when I took it out of my pocket, where I normally carry it, and the first time the screen was cracked, and the second, the back camera glass was cracked. There was no dropping or force put on it in either case, and I always keep it in a protective case, but it seems that it just got weak and cracked. Neither of these bothered me a lot, although it does significantly decrease the quality of photos.
Then, a few months later (after about 21 months) the fingerprint scanner stopped working completely. It no longer even shows up in the settings after resetting and factory resetting the phone. Additionally, due to the cracks, which as far as I can tell are the result of normal use, there is no way to redeem the 2nd year promise.
I was so excited about this phone, especially because they were ensuring that it would work for 2 years, but that appears not to be the case... I would be suspicious of purchasing any LG phones in the future.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Response from lg.comBy ChrisCustomer ServiceJuly 16, 2019
LG strives to create devices that will withstand the rigors of daily life. That being said, it is next to impossible to develop a device that will perform in every scenario. Please feel free to give us a call at 1-800-793-8896 or drop us a line at Twitter at @LGUSSupport or on Facebook at @LGUSSupport so we can see what we can do.

Great phone, terrible security update schedule

Love the phone. Size is perfect for me - easily pocket-able but large enough to be able to do more serious web activities and reading on. The two rear cameras make it a good replacement for my point-and-shoot's for most purposes. My major issue with it is lack of support when it comes to security updates. The model is listed on LG web site as still receiving updates, but the last one was Sept 1, 2018, and it is now Oct 2019. Both Google and LG web sites list many critical updates that have been released but that have not been made available by LG for this phone. And yes, it is LG responsibility since the phone is unlocked and not tied in to any carrier. LG acknowledges that some models receive updates "irregularly" which to me is unacceptable when so many are listed by Google as "Critical".
