This is the 2nd set of these I've had (the other pair evolved legs). Good, solid cans. They're accurate, lightweight, and comfy as hell!! I've used and seen them used for years by many professional touring audio engineers. And...no you can't borrow them; go get your own, you won't regret it.

One of the few pleasurable things from the Vietnam War was the availability of good quality sound systems at affordable prices. Expensive blue tooth and noise cancelling have their place but the sound reproduction lacks in my opinion. This MDR 7506 sounds fine.

This is my second pair to be used for broadcast music production as a Jazz program host. A warhorse, though the blue "Professional" lettering has worn away, my initial pair have lasted 10+ years without the fraying or cracking of the headband. I just swapped out the leatherette ear covers for cloth. (The old ones will serve for nighttime TV listening.)

Build quality is second to none!

These are the best quality earphones I've ever seen. I purchased my 7506's nearly 30 years ago. I worked in radio and these have made the move to studios across the country. The only thing I've had to do was replace the ear pads once in those 30 years. I do not pamper them and they have been tossed on the studio counter more than a few times. I've been using them so long that mine came with a leather carrying bag back in the day. Not only do they sound as fantastic as they did when new but still fit like I bought them yesterday. It's not good for Sony as they don't get my money for new ones since they just last. If they are still made to their original specifications then this will be the last pair of headphones you ever need to buy. I have purchased a few more pairs over the years for other co-workers and as monitors that everyone uses in the studio. Best investment I've made.

Put these headphones back in early November 2025, and I simply cannot stop using them. The sound is impeccable and the quality of the headphones themselves are some of the best that I’ve seen in ages. 10 out of 10 highly recommend!!!
