Pricey but you’re getting what you pay for.

This AVR is pretty much future proof. Denon left out no feature. For me, it was a toss up between the X8500H and the Anthem MRX1120. I finally went for the Denon mostly because my tried and true experience with a beloved AVR3802. I’m glad I chose the X8500H. It’s currently set up for 7.1.6, full on Dolby Atmos & Auro-3D playback. For the audiophile, the X8500H can compete with and even surpass many higher end separates. It’s pricey, insofar as AVR’s go, but the quality and capability is uncompromising and unmatched.
