What the heck Maytag? Why drop a treasure from your lineup!

This is the single best appliance ever owned by me & as you have read, others. Everybody LOVES this machine. It is a crying shame not to be able to find new or used parts for it. We have had ours 11 years and I have exhausted all suppliers who have carried the parts. This was a shining star in the world of dryers and you really dropped the ball by letting this machine fade into the sunset. You had no competition. Now nothing is remarkable among dryers. There is no longer a rose among thorns. I do laundry daily as a Massage therapist. I'm sooo sick about letting it go, I may forgo a coffin and be buried in my Neptune DC.

I LOVE THIS DRYER!!!

I’ve had this dryer since 2006 and moved it to 5 different houses. The upper cabinet keeps my clothes looking new for a long time. My clothes come out looking like I ironed them, my clothes don’t shrink, tennis shoes dry well, etc. Now in 2021 the panel for the upper cabinet started acting up and it wouldn’t run and no parts to be found. My husband took the front panel off & checked the circuit board & put it back on. We were down to the “nothing to lose” stage so he tried the “secret codes” of pushing buttons simultaneously used in other electronic devices—and now it is working again!! I LOVE THIS DRYER!! Maytag, shame on you for discontinuing the Neptune Drying Center!! Everybody has a tumble dryer, but this drying center is special.

We bought two just in case

I have had the dryer since 2004 and have only had two issues, lint filter broke and control panel wrinkled. Do I read these reviews right, you won't have parts for it? Glad we bought two lint filters recently! It sort of squeals every now and then, should we call around and get belts or other parts we may need in the future? I love this machine and I've had it longer than my husband.

This dryer has had no issues since we purchased it in 2006. It was the last one left, I believe it was the floor model. It is the size of a refrigerator but if you have the space, most laundry areas do these days, it is the best dryer I have every seen or used. I am a very discerning shopper. This dryer has seen three home moves and looks like new still. I understand the sorrow from owners over the lack of parts. The control panel is the weakness on this machine, mine too is malfunctioning. I also understand the position of Maytag to not support this product or customers anymore. Maytag only produced this model in very limited numbers to start with what did we think was going to happen. This is the type of machine that should last for 20+ years except, understandably, for some newer designed parts like the control panel. I assume that normally replaced parts either need replacing or I don't use this machine enough to need repair by now. It is used every three days like clockwork since 2006. A new soft-touch control panel could be offered for a parts repair item but there are not enough of these machines to justify it. I am going to retro fit buttons on the panel to replace the failed buttons. It is worth the small cost to repair a new looking machine that I can not find another machine to replace. Even our matching washer has not even had a belt replaced yet. The only two things missing are Bluetooth and a remote control for these luxury appliances.

Love This Dryer!

We have had this dryer for 12 years and it is awesome! We even purchased it from the outlet! I can not believe this dryer has been discontinued! Just now are we having an issue with the control panel. I had to replace the matching washer 6 months ago. I am hoping a repairman can come and fix it, I really do not want to replace it! The upper drying cabinet dries shoes, sweaters, intimates, things you can't put into the tumbler below. It's amazing!! The best appliance purchase I have ever made!

Wonderful Surprise; 2003 Was a Good Year.

Six years ago we bought a house with this very strange mutant duplex dryer and wondered what planet it came from. Read awful reviews written by people who had never even seen it in the flesh. This Neptune dryer is an absolute keeper even now when it's maybe 19 years old? We love it, love it. Only problem is that the damp-dry signal has recently taken leave of its senses, chirping morse code at will even when both dryers are off. Until we find someone to geld the thing, we've rigged up an auxiliary switch to cut the power this side of the breaker for when it's not in use; when it is, we close the laundry room door, either that or suffer resident hounds in full serenade-mode. PS. The 2003 Maytag Washer washer is also going strong, and with no sound track.

We have had the Neptune Drying Center for quite a while, and we absolutely love it. Sorry to hear it was discontinued. My wife uses the upper cabinet dryer EVERY day. Wish this product was still available!!!!!
