I was recommended to BACtrack by a friend who owned one. I was hesitant to purchase it at first, fearing its practicality. However, once I received it, I quickly found it incredibly helpful! Not only can I use it to judge my own level, but I can use it with my close friends who "think" they're OK to drive. BACtrack fits comfortably in my jeans and the battery last for a surprisingly long time. It's incredibly easy to use and very reliable. I take it out anytime I plan to drink more than usual and it's an incredibly helpful tool that I think a lot of people should have!

I purchased this as a replacement for an S80 that I had for about 10 years. I enjoy the fact that it syncs with an mobile app that has the ability to track multiple readings and also gives a straight line to 0.0 timeframe. The battery life I feel is pretty lack luster and the readings vary much more than the s80 based on the 15-minute prior ingestion recommendation. Overall it does its job and gives repeatable readings as long as you haven't had anything for 15 minutes and sometimes longer.

It has given me confidence that I'm well below the 0.08 legal limit here in FL. and as a result I've summoned Uber a number of times when I'm "over 0.05" which is my personal max, as long as I'm feeling confident otherwise (not overly tired, etc.). I've taken long walks, if convienent, and retested, and if I'm within my personal limit, have made the desision to drive, or not, depending on my comfort level. I'm no longer guessing, and although 0.00 is the only completly safe level, I've eliminated the guessing I used to rely on,.

The S80 BACTrack is by far the most acurate BAC device on the market. If your freedom to drive (or worse, your freedom at all) is counting on clean breathilizer tests, please buy this gadget Always do a pre-blow prior to blowing into the court ordered breathilizer installed in you car. You'd be surprised how inaccurate the technology is. Better safe than sorry. Can't recommend the S80 enough...!

My bactrack had been lost for several years and when I found it, it would read 0.00 regardless of alcohol intake. I knew they required periodic calibration so sent it in, without much hope that it would be functional again. When I received the unit back it seems to be reading just as it was when new.

I bought this 6 weeks ago and now it does not work or needs re-calibration. I have only blown into it 81 times. I have the S-80 and I had to re-calibrate it after 6 months or 380 blows.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
