This was to add to my collection of printers, one at office, one at each house, all Canon.
There are two good things about this one: no extraneous fax and The quality of scans. But the very best part is ink tanks instead of catridges. As always the prints are high quality & most satisfactory for me needs.

make sure you double check the instructions. i was confused as to why it wouldnt work at first and it was because i missed a step. now that i have it all set up, this is an amazing printer. i love the megatank and i cant wait to see what it does with photos

I love the concept of not having to deal with ink cartridges but Canon needs to work some bugs out of the tank system. The problem that repeatedly turns up is that the ink feed tubes lose their prime & become filled with air. The only way I've found to re-prime them is a system cleaning which wastes massive amounts of ink. It would be helpful if Canon at least supplied a utility that allowed us to selectively re-prime the tubes individually so we are not wasting ink by pushing ink through tubes that don't need to be re-primed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

OPERATING & PERFORMING WELL. Like my g3200, not as easy to install, as one might like. Installation is worth the effort but shouldn't be this difficult. Problem seems to be getting the printer and computer to communicate. Other than that I love these printers.
