I purchased this air purifier several years ago for my sister's home which has two cats and an grandchild with asthma. Since she began running the unit, she reports that air quaility has improved considerably. This is an older model, but still performs quite well. It is rather noisy when it is on HIGH, but this setting is not often required.

This is to air purification machines what ink cartridges are to printers...they give away the machines and charge an arm and a leg for the refills....
