The filters do a really great job, however I'm not at all impressed with the Holmes machine. It never reset itself to show that I had replaced the filters so I'll have to remember the date I purchsed the new filters. I doubt very much that I will be purchasing new filters again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
