I bought this monitor a month ago to use for WFH during Covid shut-down. It is a stylish monitor, great resolution, colors and the 27" screen is the perfect size.
I am working remotely pm as so many are, and bought this as a second monitor to compliment my recent purchase of a 27inch all-in-one. I absolutely love the monitor. Interestingly I asked advice via the HP chat. I gave her my price range and she came up with this. Spot on. I love the matte screen and the fact I can raise and lower it, and go from horizontal to vertical. Highly recommend.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've recently deployed four of these as part of a full technology refresh project. For most of our employees I went with dual HP E243i displays but for the two of us who do significant Creative Suite design work I went with these larger 4K displays.
I was expecting great looking displays and they certainly do not disappoint in that regard. I have the two displays connected to an HP Thunderbolt G2 dock and performance is absolutely as expected with great detail in my design work and plenty of real estate to snap two applications on each screen. Each display has two USB 3.1 type-A ports on the left side which is really handy and frees up a couple of ports in my dock.
The displays can be connected via Thunderbolt, DisplayPort, HDMI, or VGA and *ALL* of those cables are included with each monitor. If you connect the monitor using Thunderbolt it provides both the USB and display connections over the one cable. If you use one of the other methods of connecting the display you'll need to use the, *also supplied*, USB type-A to USB type-C cable to enable the USB ports in the display.
One thing to note here, the displays are configured to run in "Power Saver" mode by default and this means that when the displays go to sleep the USB ports in them are disabled. Since I was using the USB ports on the displays for my desktop keyboard and mouse, if I walked away and the displays went to sleep I could not use my keyboard or mouse to wake the computer. Because of that issue, I changed both of my displays to "Performance" mode.
Also of note, the displays ship with a CD/DVD that I assume includes the drivers but since I don't have a CD drive in my current setup I went and downloaded the latest drivers and the HP Display Assistant which I recommend you do as well. The drivers don't cause any noticeable difference in performance but Windows does then recognize them by model number but the HP Display Assistant provides the ability to adjust all of the displays' settings from an application instead of having to fumble with the in-display controls.
Finally, the stand, it is fantastic! It provides a good deal of vertical range and facilitates easy changes from landscape to portrait viewing. Portrait-mode is wonderful when working with a really large Excel document as I recently needed to do.
All in all, I'm thrilled with these monitors and all of the HP products we recently purchased!
The microedge is not present on 2 out of 3 I have tested. The Bang & Olufsen audio is less loud than my HP laptop, and was virtually inaudible on one unit. The menu buttons on the right side are recessed to the point of being virtually not operable. The buttons on the left side were raised enough to be very useable. The overall appearance is impressive.
Awesome display! I highly recommend this display!!

I bought 8 in total of theses displays. We use them in portrait mode making our viewable coverage amazing for legal documents or reading emails. HP quality is amazing so check it out for yourself!
There are a number of features that i am still trying to find time to research. There was not documentation on what was loaded. The "C" drive is too small to hold the programs I am using OR any data -- having to find work arounds to even operate! I have spent hours researching !!!!
