I bought this ice maker 6 months ago as out regular ice make on our fridge tanked. This machine keeps up with most all of our needs as a family of 5 (with the exception of filling multiple water bottles, coolers, etc.). It makes more than enough ice for our meals, daily drinks, etc. I would highly recommend for every day use or for extra ice when having a party, family and friends over.

Perfect addition to our camper!

I absolutely love this ice maker! It churns out 50 lbs of ice per day and I cannot believe that it produces ice every 5-8 minutes. It's crazy! It works great for camping trips when we need ice to add to our cold drinks and to keep a good amount of ice in our cooler as it melts each day. No more trips to town to get more ice! I love it and would recommend every camper get one!

It worked well when it did. Ice tray would freeze up often, after a tray or two, and would require warm water after.

I love that I can get ice pretty much on demand but only draw back is that if not used quickly it will melt. Otherwise I'm very happy with this NewAir ice machine. I have a friend who is already going to buy one because he saw mine.

This has been so handy. I live in the country and fish in my own pond in my back yard. Before I had this I need to make a seven mike trip, fourteen mile round trip to the nearest convenience store just to buy ice to fill a cooler to fish in my own backyard. The built in ice maker in my freezer does not replenish itself fast enough, it takes all day and doesn't really produce enough ice for a cooler. This makes nine ice cubes (bullet shape pieces of ice) approximately every five minutes. That is three dozen ice cubes in just twenty minutes. Each basket full of ice will fill up a little more than half a gallon size freezer bag full of ice. Therefore it doesn't take too long to make several bags of ice a store in my upright freezer. In my garage. I keep at least had a dozen bags of ice in it to feel a cooler for fishing, tailgating, or whatever. This ice maker has truly been useful.
