Does the job fast!

This ice maker was perfect for me and my roommates. Our fridge's ice maker was broken and this did the job much faster than putting ice trays in our freezer. I would say my only complaint is that if you leave it plugged in and turned on, it'll theoretically continuously run until someone turns it off. This is because the ice maker does not keep the ice cold after it makes it, so the ice just melts and falls back into the water tank, ultimately making more ice and wasting electricity. Otherwise, I love the product!

We are a large family that hosts many Birthday parties and cookouts especially in the Summer and keeping up with ice is something that is always hard for us. This ice maker has been super helpful ever since we got it. I like the stylish design and it fits perfectly on our counter top and also on our outdoor picnic table. I can't wait to take it camping with us this Summer to keep our drinks cold and keep our cooler full of ice instead of driving to the store to buy more. It was super easy to set up after taking out of the box. (There's a few instructions to follow before first use). New ice was made every 5-6 minutes on average and as soon as the basket was full of ice the ice full indicator light came on. The ice comes out small but I love that because it is of a perfect size to throw in our water bottles and our glasses. This product is really neat, works well and keeps our beverages really cold.
I would recommend this to a friend!

NOT EFFICIENT ENOUGH ...POOR DESIGN.

IT DOES NOT START MAKING MORE ICE SOON ENOUGH WHEN THE ICE IN THE HOLDING TRAY MELTS DOWN BECAUSE THE ICE SITS ATOP A FOLDING FLAPPER ARM IN THE INFRARED BEAM KEEPING THE MACHINE CUT OFF LONGER THAN THE ICE IN THE BASKET.THE BASKET ICE MELTS DOWN WITHOUT THE MACHINE COMING BACK ON UNTIL THE ICE ON TOP OF THE FLAPPER MELTS DOWN (LAST). THIS ALLOWS FOR NO ICE IN THE BASKET UNTIL THE ICE ON THE RED SENSOR GETS MELTED OUT OF THE WAY (WHICH ALWAYS MELTS LAST). I SUGGEST A MECHANICAL SENSOR AND NO FLAPPER FOR ICE TO SIT ON SO WHEN THE ICE MELTS DOWN A LITTLE IT CLEARS THE SENSOR AND STARTS MAKING IC AGAIN SOON ENOUGH THAT YOUR BASKET STAYS FULL OF ICE AT ALL TIMES. I DON'T LIKE TO BABY A ICE MAKER WHEN THERE ARE OTHER MODELS THAT KEEP UP THAT ARE MUCH CHEAPER.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
