Great suitcase -- 15 inches width vs 14 though

It's great, runs really smoothly, but I believe the limit for Width for most airlines is 14 inches not 15 inches. It worked ok for 3 flights but that got me a bit worried.

Bought this bag thinking that it is a carry-on but this is way bigger. Though the bag looks to be well-made, this will certainly not fit *ANY* airlines carry-on regulations. Called customer service and was told that it is a carry-on for trains and buses! Need to pay return shipping which costs half the cost of the bag. I would recommend that you order bags from a retailer that provides free returns or a better return process.

NOT TSA COMPLIANT FOR CARRY ON SIZE

While noted as a 21" spinner, this bag is NOT compliant with TSA regulations for a carry on bag, which are 22" x 14" x 9", INCLUDING HANDLES AND WHEELS. The dimensions shown for the bag do NOT include the handles and wheels. When included as per TSA guidelines, this bag measures 24-25" x 15" x 9" so it is not TSA compliant. It just cost me $43 to ship it back.

After placing my order I realized by looking up carry on size requirements that this is not in fact carry on size for most major airlines. 22" is the norm with 24" being the largest I saw listed. This product is 24.5". I called customer service to cancel my order (which had been placed only hours before) and the representitive, Jan, told me she could not cancel it and the only thing I could do was to contact the shipper to refuse the package. I will get refunded but still have to pay shipping. I explained to her how misleading the product description is and all she said was that customers need to educate themselves before purchasing products. Well, Samsonite, being a leader in the luggage industry I assumed I could trust you to deliver correct information. At least I found out before being forced to check this non-carry-on sized luggage at the airport.
Cons: Misleading Description, Not Carry On Size, Poor Customer Service

I travel with friends several times a year to Central America, as well as within the USA several times a year. What I look for in a piece of luggage is durability and capacity without bulk. I haven't had a chance to use it yet but it compares very favorably with similar items I have owned for years. It has a bit more capacity than the bag it is replacing, which is why I bought it, and the same durable construction. I tend to check my bag when I travel, use a backpack for my carry on, so that purchased items (alcohol, etc) can go in the checked bag, and it is definitely sturdy enough for that purpose. I like the bright orange color-easier to identify on the baggage carousel.
Pros: Easy To Carry, Easy To Identify, Good Capacity, High Quality, Lightweight
